Hey guys!
I need some advice about how to increase the authority score of my site. My site is a sex toy store, and i do not know how to increase the SEO performance.

Thank you so much for your advice! sir. I saw you mentioned that getting backlinks from relevant but non-explicit blogs (think relationship advice, wellness, etc.), and wonder if you have a specific way to get those backlinks?

Yeah, I usually go with manual outreach. I’ll look for blogs in relationship, lifestyle, or wellness niches that either accept guest posts or have some history of linking out to useful resources. You can find them using Google searches like:
intitle:"write for us" relationship blog
inurl:/guest-post/ wellness
“sex education” + “resources”
Once I find a good fit, I reach out with a short email offering a useful article idea — not salesy, just helpful content that naturally links back to my site.

Also, tools like Ahrefs or Snov io help speed up the process, but honestly, even doing it manually works fine if you’re consistent.

Increasing your website’s Authority Score (often measured by tools like Ahrefs’ Domain Rating (DR), Moz’s Domain Authority (DA), or Semrush’s Authority Score) requires a mix of high-quality backlinks, strong content, and technical SEO. Here’s a step-by-step strategy:

1. Build High-Quality Backlinks (Most Important Factor)
Backlinks from authoritative, relevant sites are the biggest ranking factor for domain authority.
Best Link-Building Strategies:

Guest Posting on industry blogs (with dofollow links).

Broken Link Building (Find broken links on high-DA sites & suggest your content as a replacement).

Skyscraper Technique (Create better content than competitors & outreach for links).

HARO (Help a Reporter Out) – Provide expert insights to journalists for backlinks.

Digital PR (Get featured in news sites like Forbes, BBC, or niche publications).

Avoid:

Spammy directory links

Paid link schemes (Google penalizes these)

Irrelevant PBNs (Private Blog Networks)

2. Publish Expert-Level, Link-Worthy Content
Google rewards EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).
Types of Content That Earn Backlinks & Authority:

Original Research (Surveys, studies, data reports).

Ultimate Guides (10,000+ words, in-depth).

Case Studies (Prove real-world results).

Expert Roundups (Interview industry leaders).

Visual Content (Infographics, videos—easily shareable).

Optimization Tips:

Update old posts regularly (Google prefers fresh content).

Use internal linking to pass authority across pages.

3. Improve Technical SEO (Helps Crawlability & Trust)
Key Fixes:

Fix 404 Errors (Use 301 redirects for broken links).

Improve Site Speed (Core Web Vitals must pass).

Mobile Optimization (Google prioritizes mobile-first indexing).

HTTPS Security (SSL certificate required).

XML Sitemap + robots.txt (Helps Google index pages).

4. Increase Brand Mentions & Unlinked Citations
Even if a site mentions you without a link, you can request one.
How to Get More Brand Mentions:

Get interviewed on podcasts/blogs.

Publish press releases (via PR Newswire, Business Wire).

Engage in industry forums (Quora, Reddit, niche communities).

5. Social Signals & Engagement (Indirect but Helpful)
While not a direct ranking factor, social shares & engagement can lead to more backlinks.
Best Practices:

Share content on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook Groups.

Post on Medium, Substack, or Reddit (with links).

Encourage user-generated content (comments, shares).

6. Monitor & Disavow Toxic Backlinks
Use Google Search Console or Ahrefs/Semrush to check for:

Spammy links

Irrelevant guest posts

Low-quality directories
Disavow them using Google’s Disavow Tool.

7. Consistency & Patience (Authority Takes Time)
6–12 months of consistent effort is needed.

Track progress using Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, or Semrush Authority Score.
